Dr Khalid Hassan
Khalid brings a wealth of international experience to his Paediatric practice of over 20 years. Khalid has worked in hospitals in Ireland and the UK and has worked for 12 years in Australia, in rural and urban settings, and in private and public practice. Most recently he has worked as a Senior Consultant Paediatrician at Goulburn Valley Health.
Khalid has been an Honorary Fellow at Melbourne University for the last 10 years and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland. He has been an examiner at the University of Sydney, Melbourne University and with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has taught many medical students and nurses and has also published numerous scientific articles in his field.
Khalid considers it a privilege to care for his patients and their families. He is a firm believer in a holistic approach to healthcare, recognizing the interconnectedness of factors influencing a child's well-being, and is committed to involving families in the care process, offering compassionate and effective care. He believes that good communication lies at the heart of delivering excellent patient care.
Khalid has special interests in autism, anxiety, ADHD, asthma, eczema, bedwetting, constipation, general paediatrics and the varied developmental and behavioural concerns.
