Dr Ramesha Tiskumara
Ramesha has extensive experience in both acute and developmental paediatrics. She obtained her medical degree from Monash University in 1996 and completed paediatric specialist training at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in New South Wales. Ramesha was the Child Psychiatry Fellow at Westmead in 2006. She has looked after children with developmental and behavioural problems for over a decade as a consultant.
Ramesha has worked as a paediatrician in metropolitan, rural and remote Australia as well as in Africa. She enjoys working with families in collaboration with schools, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and other professionals in order to provide holistic care.
Ramesha also has a Master of Public Health. She has awards for teaching undergraduates from the University of New South Wales and the University of Tasmania. She has been an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is currently teaching developmental and behavioural paediatrics at the College of General Practitioners.
